2021 Mazdas made available in new dark, handsome Kuro Edition option
The special edition trim will be available on the ’21 CX-5, CX-9 and Mazda6
Mazda Canada has just introduced a new Kuro Edition trim level option for the upcoming 2021 Mazda CX-5, CX-9, and Mazda6.
It’s dark(er) and should serve as Mazda’s 2020 answer to the eternal question “But how will my new vehicle be more special than the same model my neighbour has?”
First off, your Kuro Edition Mazda – they’re calling it the Carbon Edition in the U.S. – will be finished in an exclusive Polymetal Gray or Jet Black Mica exterior paint with black accents like gloss door mirrors and metallic-finish aluminum alloy wheels. (Those poor suckers Stateside don’t get the Jet Black option we do.)
Inside, the grey or black is offset by red leather seats and black honeycomb trimming. Be sure to point all this out to your neighbour.
Also ask them if their car has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Bose sound system, heated front seats and safety tech like blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and Mazda radar cruise control with stop and go smart brake, because yours does. If theirs does too – it’s unclear just where this trim will land in the model lineups – simply point them back to the exclusive paint job.
Mazda says it’ll release prices for the three Kuro Edition models as the respective vehicles wearing the package are announced.
